JAN 2009 EVENTS
The New Year celebration Santhipom Sathipom (Let's meet - Let's achieve) was celebrated with PLHIV and their family members from our various projects on 30.12.2008 at Krishna Mahal. The Project Director of APAC-VHS Dr. Bimal Charles, The District Panchayat Chairman Mrs. Ajitha Mano Thangaraj, The Inspector of Police – Traffic Mr. Sankaranarayanan and The Deputy Director of Public Health Dr. Ralph Selvin and various dignitaries graced the occasion. The major aim was to bring in community ownership in our working areas. The general community graciously contributed INR 3, 94, 046 .00 for new dresses, food and savorites which enabled PLHIV and families to celebrate the New Year with happiness like others. Confidence building messages were given by eminent persons. In between children's cultural program was conducted .Overall 961 PLHIV and children benefited.
